Tell us about Excel Recruitment?

Established in 2002, Excel Recruitment is a leading specialist recruitment agency servicing over 1,000 clients, and 85,000 candidates, through a team of over 80 expert recruiters with five offices located in Dublin, Kildare, Cork, Galway, and Belfast.

Since its beginning, Excel Recruitment has evolved into a multi-divisional organisation by providing a talented workforce solution to our clients and by preparing our candidates for future success in their roles. What’s your role in Excel Recruitment?

All employees of Excel play a significant role within the business. However, my role as Branch Manager is simply to piece these roles together to ensure we can continue to work as a collective team, supporting each other in the world of recruitment and maintaining our standards of excellence to keep both clients and candidates happy.

Tell us something about Excel Recruitment we may not know

All our recruiters come from the industries in which they specialise and recruit for, having enjoyed successful careers in these industries before joining the Excel Recruitment team. This first-hand knowledge and experience allow us to rapidly develop a wide variety of essential training & advice for our clients and candidates.

We also conduct a number of hospitality, healthcare, industrial, and retail-based training and upskilling courses which are available through our sister companies Future Proof Training and the Irish Barista Academy. Our training academies allow our teams to help ease periods of staff shortages through the necessary upskilling and for us to help bring our candidates full circle – from temp roles to permanent roles across our divisions.

What’s next for Excel Recruitment?

Currently, we are 6 months in Northern Ireland but over 20 years in Southern Ireland, and so our main goal is to grow and expand the business here in Belfast to be as successful and well-perceived as our existing branches. As a company overall, we have lots of exciting projects coming down the line including a new events brand, office expansions, and continued growth across our divisions and specialities.

What do you like about being a Glandore member?

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to launch our new Belfast branch in the Glandore Suites. It was very refreshing to focus on growing a new business without the distractions or complications that arise from moving into a new location owned and managed by us.

We have continued support from Glandore with well-being events, pizza and beer networking events, and front-office support from the amazing team in Arthur House!
