Tell us about Keenan Recruitment?

Based in Belfast, Keenan Recruitment supply temporary and/or permanent quality staff to the Logistics, Insurance, Legal, Finance, Health, Specialist and Admin markets within the public, private and third sectors throughout Northern Ireland on a temporary and/or permanent basis.

What’s your role in Keenan Recruitment?

I am the Founder and Director of Keenan and oversee the daily running of the firm. I work closely with our team to ensure support is given, particularly during the pandemic when we are still working from home.

Tell us something about Keenan Recruitment we may not know.

We are a corporate charity partner of NSPCC NI and fundraise when we can throughout the year. Myself and our Consultant Katherine Pringle volunteer at Childline and find it to be a very rewarding experience.

What’s next for Keenan Recruitment?

We never sit still at Keenan! The pandemic pushed us to pivot quickly and opened up so many doors for us throughout the private sector. We are rapidly growing the permanent recruitment side of the business and are enjoying every second of it! We have such exciting plans in the pipeline for the next 3-5 years which include branching out across the pond and into ROI.

What do you like about being a Glandore Member?

The support at Glandore is second to none. There is a genuine interest shown in our business that is refreshing. Connections are made within the building and it is a beautiful setting that we feel proud to invite Clients to. The workshops and seminars delivered to members are varied, well delivered and appeal to all interests. Nothing is ever too much bother.

What have you missed most about working in Belfast during the last year?

Social interaction! I must admit I am the only Keenan member who found it difficult to settle into working from home. I am a peoples person and miss seeing peoples feet!

Popping into the office at the peak of the pandemic was a difficult experience, passing the closed and empty shops, cafes and businesses that would normally have a great buzz around them was quite overwhelming. The realisation of the damage happening within our economy and normally thriving community really hit home.

What are you looking forward to most post Covid19? (personal or business focussed)

Visiting Lanis Restaurant on the Marina in Playa Blanca! Our kids even know what they are going to order! I cannot wait for face to face meeting to start up again and for our team to be under the same roof.
