Tell us about Women in Business

Women in Business NI is the largest and fastest growing business network for female entrepreneurs and business leaders in Northern Ireland. Our mission is to equip women with the skills they need to start, and grow, their own business or develop their careers, rising into senior manager and leadership positions. By positively impacting all its members, WIB aspires to Create a New Economy; whereby all females in Northern Ireland significantly contribute to the economic success of our society. We have 7 fabulous programmes on offer as well as our monthly facilitated networking events and personal development workshops/ masterclasses.

Tell us about your role in the company

I am a programme co-ordinator for Women in Business, specifically focusing on our Connect programme. Also, I am on a year long placement from Ulster University studying Marketing.

Tell us something about your company we didn’t know

We currently have over 2,500 members – all business women; owners, sole traders, entrepreneurs, employers, employees, managers and CEOs can reap the benefits of a being a member of Women in Business.

What’s next for Women in Business?

We are looking forward to welcoming a few new faces to the team in the next few weeks! We also have a lot of plans in place to continue to grow our network throughout Northern Ireland and further.

What’s your favourite thing about working in Belfast?

Probably how close everything is – if you need to get something done it’s so easy to sort on your lunch break because everything is on your door step. That and our extremely close proximity to Avoca!

What do you like about being a Glandore member?

Being a programme co-ordinator, I’m always looking for beautiful spaces to run workshops. The meeting spaces in Glandore are just that and the staff are always ready to help. Also, I love the fresh coffee in the kitchens!

Friday nights in or Friday nights out?

Friday nights in definitely, after a week of running around it nice to chill on a Friday night. Saturday’s are a slightly different story though!
