Glandore Green Sustainability
We here at Glandore are committed to reducing our carbon footprint, allowing us to create a greener workspace for our members. Glandore’s Green Sustainability program promotes sustainable practices across all our Dublin, Cork and Belfast offices, encouraging both employees and members to reduce waste and increase recycling. So, how does it all work?
Reducing Waste
Glandore aims to reduce waste by promoting paperless work environments. They have implemented electronic filing systems and have encouraged employees to use digital documents instead of printed copies. Glandore has also taken steps to eliminate single-use plastics in their offices, replacing disposable cups and bottles with reusable ones. They have also installed water filtration systems to reduce the use of bottled water.
Recycling
Glandore is committed to recycling and has made it easy for members to recycle. We provide recycling bins throughout our offices for paper, plastic, and glass waste. Additionally, Glandore has implemented a composting program in our offices to reduce the amount of food waste that ends up in landfills.
Energy Efficiency
Coworking and flexible workspace by their very definition is green. It’s not just a sharing of ideas but of space, heat, light and other resources. Applying techniques such as smart light sensors and solar panels, Glandore is Ireland’s first flexible and coworking provider in the Republic of Ireland to state their commitment to using 100 per cent renewable energy.
Water Conservation
We provide hand dryers, dual flush toilets, and sensor taps in most of our toilets to reduce water waste.
Transportation
Glandore encourages our members to reduce their carbon footprint by using public transportation or cycling to work. We provide secure bike storage facilities in our offices and we are well serviced by national bus, rail and LUAS.
Community Involvement
Glandore’s Green Sustainability program also involves community involvement. We have organised community clean-up events and have partnered with local environmental groups to promote sustainability. Our monthly member events also include a series of educational webinars on how to implement a greener way of living.
