Glandore: Partnering for Success in the Gateway to Europe
Last week, Glandore’s Directors, Clare Kelly and Rebecca Kelly, embarked on an exciting business development mission to Boston and New York, joining a delegation of like-minded business people. As a company deeply committed to supporting business growth and development, the trip was a crucial opportunity for Glandore to strengthen existing relationships and forge new ones in the important US market.
The Boston leg of the trip began with an inspiring visit to the Boston College Ireland Business Council Peace Dinner, where George Mitchell was awarded the Irish Institute Leadership Award for his distinguished contribution to the peace process in Northern Ireland. Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, Tommie Gorman, and Joe Kennedy were among the distinguished guests who spoke at the event, providing valuable insights into the current state of transatlantic relations and opportunities for business growth.
As the team arrived in New York, they started their visit with a fascinating tour of the United Nations. Alongside exploring the iconic building, the team also had the chance to meet with various members and service providers, an excellent opportunity to connect and strengthen relationships in person.
During the trip, the President’s Global CEO lunch hosted by Bank of Ireland in Manhattan with the Ireland Gateway To Europe group was a standout event. The event was expertly MC’d by Robert Mac Giolla Phadraig, CCO at Sigmar Recruitment, and featured insightful conversations from industry leaders such as Caroline Klatt, co-founder at Flowcarbon, as well as two Irish founders operating in the US: Aimée Madden, Founder and President of CliniShift, and James O’Reilly, President of Life Time Work. The lunch provided a unique opportunity for attendees to network and gain valuable insights into the transatlantic trade market.
Throughout the trip, the Glandore team was inspired and energised by the passion, dedication, and innovation of the many like-minded business leaders they met along the way. The trip was a huge success. Glandore would like to sincerely thank Jamie, Claire, Robbie, Adi and the entire team at Sigmar and ‘Ireland: Gateway to Europe’ for their tremendous effort in organising such a valuable and memorable experience.
