Our Hear from Her series returns on Tuesday 8th of March to celebrate International Women’s Day with an incredible panel of women who are leading the way in business. Now in its 6th year, Hear from Her was born out of a desire to connect, support and celebrate the achievements and successes of the wonderful women in our community and be inspired by their journey.

We will be joined on the 8th of March by Marie O Connor (Chair, Non-Executive Director, formerly PwC Audit Partner), Niamh Parker (Co-Founder and Chief Legal Officer, Altada), Aimee Connolly (Founder, Sculpted by Aimee) and Rachel Reidy (Head of Allbright Ireland). The panel will be moderated by Clare Kelly (Director, Glandore) and will see these incredible leaders share their stories and learnings on leadership, scaling businesses, and the power of networking & mentorship with attendees.

Our Panellists:

Marie O’Connor

Chair, Non-Executive Director, formerly PwC Audit Partner

Marie O’Connor was an audit partner at PwC Ireland for 30 years and retired in 2017.  During this time she established and led PwC’s highly successful Irish Asset Management and Financial Services practice. Marie is currently Chair of the Governing Authority of University College Dublin and Chair and Non-Executive director of Davy Global Fund Management, an international subsidiary of Davy Group. Most recently in 2020, Marie joined the board of GQG Global UCITS ICAV.  Marie has been appointed as a non-executive director to many Irish State boards over the last twenty years including Dublin Airport Authority, IDA Ireland and Irish Life. Marie was a founder member and the country lead for the 30% Club in Ireland and continues to serve on its Advisory Board.

Niamh Parker

Co-Founder and Chief Legal Officer, Altada

Niamh Parker is Chief Legal and People Officer at Altada Technology Solutions. A Cork born serial entrepreneur, who has experience across various industries. Starting her early career in the Wellness and Sports industry, to Hospitality through her Thai Cottage food business. Niamh moved into legal and tech in 2013 and is a huge privacy advocate. In her role as Chief Legal and People Officer Niamh has scaled Altada from 9 people in 2019 to 130 people today across 11 locations. Niamh is a huge equality, diversity and inclusion champion at Altada and is positioning Altada to be the industry Leader in their operational AI platform category.

Aimee Connolly

Founder & CEO, Sculpted by Aimee

An entrepreneur through and through, Aimee set up the brand at the age of just 24, combining her experience in the make-up industry with a degree in commerce and French from U.C.D.  The brand was and remains entirely self-funded, with Aimee starting to save the capital she needed to launch when she started working part-time at 16. Sculpted by Aimee now has 17 staff, over 300 stockists in Ireland and has recently expanded into the UK.

Rachel Reidy

Head of Allbright Ireland, Allbright

Rachel is the founder of R2 Communications and is the Head of AllBright Ireland.

AllBright is the global leading career network for women, offering an inspiring platform to connect, up-skill and supercharge their careers – ultimately to change the narrative for women at work. Rachel returned to Ireland during the pandemic, following 20 years in London where she worked for 16 years at Condé Nast Publications. During this time she launched WIRED into the UK and headed up digital and brand partnership teams for British GQ, Vogue and Glamour.com.
