Volition Virtual Women’s Pitch Europe in partnership with Bridge for Billions

Glandore is committed to supporting women in business, from our nationwide Hear From Her events, our involvement with Women in Business NI, and supporting female-led businesses in our wider Glandore Network. As part of that commitment, we are delighted to extend our support to the first Volition Virtual Women’s Pitch Europe on 15th July.

Who is Volition?

Volition is a Canadian based company who support and elevate entrepreneurs by providing space for conversations, connections, and practical skill-building. Over the past four years, they have hosted nearly 100 pitch events, with 5,000+ attendees and over 550 start-ups. Their goal with these events is to provide a comfortable space for entrepreneurs to gain practical experience and valuable feedback on their pitch and presentation, in front of an industry panel and virtual live audience. Since Covid, they’ve moved everything on to Zoom and have been doing a lot more national and international based pitch events.

Women’s European Pitch Event

As part of their expansion with their international events, they’ve got a women’s pitch EU event happening on the 15th of July. Volition will be accepting applications from women-identified entrepreneurs all across Europe and are also striving for geographic diversity. You can be at any stage (ideation to growth) and in any vertical/ industry to apply. If you are chosen, you’ll be pitching to four industry experts, each of whom have been carefully chosen by Volition.

Supporting the Women’s EU Pitch Event

If you don’t want to pitch but would like to join the event and support the chosen pitchers you can register to attend the event here.

This is the first ever Women’s Pitch Europe so it’s a great opportunity to gain insight into international pitching and to support women in business. Join Volition and cheer on up to eight women-identified entrepreneurs from across Europe, who will brave the virtual ‘stage’ to test out their start-up pitch and receive strategic feedback from leaders in the European start-up ecosystem.

The entrepreneurs will have 3 minutes to pitch (in English), in front of an industry panel and ‘live’ audience.

As an attendee, you will have the opportunity to vote on the ‘top pitch’, as well as engage with the pitchers and panel via polls, Q and A, and Live Chat. And, if you feel you can support the pitcher, or just want to connect, Volition will provide a space for that.

Here at Glandore, we’re always happy to support companies giving access to advice, mentoring and networking opportunities. We encourage our Glandore Network members to register to attend the event, and hopefully, we’ll see some Irish entrepreneurs represented in the chosen pitchers.
