Tell us about yourself

Hi, I’m Laura and I’m a Diamond Sales Consultant for Neve Jewels Ltd (Diamonds Factory). I enjoy helping people discover the perfect piece of jewellery and being apart of special moments. I first began my career working in the Jewellery industry a few years ago, and since then I’ve continued to further develop my knowledge and understanding of Diamonds and Gemstones.

I have a background in Fine Art, I studied sculpture in Limerick School of Art and Design and recently completely a postgrad in Business Development in Creative Industries. Outside of work, you will find me painting, sculpting and visiting galleries and museums. I also have a dog named Freya, so my days off are consumed by taking her on walks and hikes.

Neve Jewels Ltd (Diamonds Factory) is a 3rd generation company that has combined expertise in technology and jewellery manufacturing to create a thriving business today. Over the past 15 years, we have become the largest online jewellery sales company in the UK.

Our journey began with a desire to address the shortcomings in traditional high-street stores overcharging and a lack of educational resources for customers. Neve Jewels Ltd set out to change that by offering transparency, fair pricing, and comprehensive education on certified diamonds and metals.

Through the support and feedback of our valued clients, the business model gained traction, and we experienced exponential growth. As a result, we expanded our operations beyond the online realm and established physical stores and locations worldwide. This development allows us to provide our customers with face-to-face access, personalised guidance, and the opportunity to create their own customised jewellery.

With our streamlined processes and efficient manufacturing, we are proud to offer remarkable value to our clients. Our jewellery is meticulously crafted over a few short weeks, all while maintaining affordability—often up to 70% cheaper than traditional high street jewellery stores.

What’s your role in your company?

My role as sales consultant is to assist customers in finding a ring or piece of jewellery that best suits their personality, lifestyle and budget. I’m here to answer any questions they might have and walk them through everything you can expect when designing or purchasing an engagement or wedding ring. My role is to use my expertise in diamonds, gemstones, and jewellery to educate customers about various aspects, such as cut, clarity, colour, and carat weight.

Staying up to date with the latest industry trends and gemological knowledge is essential to excel in my role. This allows me to provide accurate information, offer insights, and guide clients towards selecting diamonds and jewellery that meet their expectations in terms of quality, value, and aesthetics.

Building trust and establishing lasting relationships is a crucial part of my role. I strive to provide exceptional customer service by offering personalised recommendations, addressing concerns, and ensuring a unique buying experience. By combining my expertise, love for diamonds, and dedication to customer service, I aim to make each client’s experience memorable, meaningful, and truly special.

We offer our customers multiple convenient options to engage with us and explore our exquisite collection. Whether you prefer an in-person experience, the flexibility of a video consultation, or the ease of online purchasing, we have you covered.

What’s next for your company?

As our client base continues to grow, so does our opportunity for expansion. We are committed to responsible growth and have plans to open new locations worldwide, with a particular focus on the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, and Australia.

We have some very exciting news on the horizon, we are in the process of finalising a new office location in Galway, which will soon be confirmed. This expansion will allow us to better serve our customers and extend our reach to a wider audience.

We believe in taking measured steps forward, ensuring that each new location aligns with our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. We are dedicated to maintaining the same level of excellence in service as we expand our presence.

What do you think is the future of work?

As a diamond sales consultant, the future holds exciting possibilities. The digital landscape has transformed the way we connect with customers and conduct business, opening up new avenues and opportunities. I envision a future where technology continues to enhance the customer experience.

By embracing digital platforms and engaging with customers through social media channels and online communities it will help gain trust, showcase expertise, and reach a broader audience. This immersive approach would bridge the gap between the online and in-store experience, providing customers with a personalised and interactive shopping journey. Embracing technology, data-driven insights, and online engagement will be key to creating meaningful customer experiences, expanding our reach, and shaping the ever-evolving world of diamond sales.

What do you like about being a Glandore Member?

Being a member of Glandore provides me with a sense of community and allows me to meet other like-minded professionals from a variety of different industries. There is also plenty of opportunities to network, Glandore hosts events and activities that members can attend to get to know one another.

Being a Glandore member I have access to fantastic amenities, whenever I need a break from my office I can work from the clubroom which has stunning views overlooking the river Lee. It’s an impressive space to bring my clients, it’s large windows provides loads of natural light so when showing diamonds it helps make them sparkle and dazzle even more. The Glandore team are so helpful and friendly, from the moment I became a Glandore member, they have gone above and beyond to create a supportive and welcoming environment.
