Five Minute Focus On: Anne O’Connell, Anne O’Connell Solicitors
Tell us about yourself
I am from Meath and I am mad about sports, particularly GAA, rugby, tennis and horseracing. I keep my sanity by either yoga or going to O’Brien’s! I qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and I am passionate about employment law. I also qualified as a New York Attorney and had a job in Manhattan that was to start at the end of September 2001 but September 11th changed that route. I worked for most of my career in William Fry solicitors and never thought that I would set up my own practice but I am so happy that I did.
Tell us about AOC Solicitors
We are a specialist employment law firm. The Firm was set up in February 2017 and we moved to Glandore in October 2018. From our first year we were ranked as a Leading Firm in Employment Law in Ireland by Legal500 and received a number of esteemed awards including our latest award of Employment Law Firm of the Year at the Irish Law Awards 2019.
We are currently a team of five and we are so delighted that Laura Reid joined the team as Associate Solicitor in June from an employment law team in a large corporate firm.
