More Than a Great Day on the Green
Glandore Charity Golf Day 2026

As we get ready to host the Glandore Charity Golf Day 2026, we’re honoured to be teaming up once again with The Irish Youth Foundation as this year’s charity partner. For 41 years, the IYF has helped level the playing field for young people across Ireland experiencing disadvantage, supporting them through key transitions in life and working closely with community groups and services nationwide.
This year’s event is more than a great day on the green, it’s a chance to change the lives of children and young people and we’re asking for your generosity once again to support future generations. Even the price of a coffee can help make a difference.
Why The Irish Youth Foundation
To give you a real picture, right now, one in five children in Ireland are growing up in poverty. That’s more than 200,000 children whose lives are shaped by limited resources and constant pressure. Children are missing out on the everyday experiences that every child in Ireland should have access to – a birthday party, a school trip, a warm coat in winter, three meals a day, without a second thought. For too many children, there’s no one good adult standing in their corner, no one encouraging their potential and no one showing them that a brighter future is actually theirs to build.
The power of youth work
Youth workers all over the country are doing extraordinary work every single day to help Ireland’s young people. They are the people who are showing up in communities the length and breadth of Ireland. They open the door when a young person has nowhere else to go, they see potential where others see problems and they hold the line for children who might otherwise be invisible. They do all this unbelievable work and much more on shoestring budgets, often with almost nothing behind them but belief. Belief alone isn’t enough, however. Passion can’t pay the bills and goodwill doesn’t build futures.
The Irish Youth Foundation exists to stand behind youth workers, funding the grassroots organisations who are already doing the hard, patient, transformative work in towns and villages and cities across Ireland. We back them so they can keep their doors open, their programmes running, and to keep their promises to young people intact.
Thank You To Our Members
Over the past 5 years, the generosity of our members has helped us raise more than €30,000 towards grassroots projects, direct intervention work and even buying Christmas presents and easter eggs for hundreds of children across Ireland. It has contributed directly to positive change for hundreds of young people, so thank you!
A word of thanks from Development Manager Matthew Walsh
“Glandore is a partnership that goes the extra mile – they consistently go above and beyond our expectations. From connecting us with new potential partners to inviting us to events, they’ve even lent a hand building our new standing desk! This type of support can often go unnoticed, but it is the type of support that creates new opportunities for IYF and allows us to grow. The team at Glandore have even volunteered themselves and connected us with other volunteers to support at numerous IYF events. We are deeply grateful for a partnership built on a shared purpose and long term commitment. Because when we invest in youth workers, we invest in resilience. When we invest in young people, we invest in potential. And when we invest in potential, we invest in Ireland’s future. Thank you, Glandore (and extended network of members), for standing with us.”
