William Swatman Sendoso

Tell us a little bit about yourself!

My name is William Swatman I am one of the Customer Support Managers here at Sendoso managing our team located in Dublin. From Meath but I have spent most of my career working in Dublin. I love the hustle and bustle of the city and with just a few minutes drive I can be back in the hills and beautiful landscape of the countryside.

Tell us about Sendoso.

Sendoso is the leading corporate gifting platform with over 500 employee’s globally. We are more than just a gifting platform though, we are a company committed to ensure lasting relationships with our own customers and also helping to build relationships between our customers and theirs. The benefits to corporate gifting are endless. Most importantly Sendoso will integrate with your existing marketing platform such as; Saleforce, HubSpot, Marketo and more. Sendoso is growing at a really exciting pace. One of the reasons I am most excited is the opportunities we can provide to Irish SMEs. Ireland has so many unique and high-quality products to offer. And with Sendoso we can offer them a unique route to an international market.  We have already partnered with some real Irish gems, companies such as Stillgarden Distillery, Snack Farm and Kindfolk in Galway will all be listing their products via the Sendoso platform. Over the past year we have been developing our Dublin location to support our EMEA and US customers with Support operating 18/5, this 7am – 2am GMT. We have a team supporting Send Curation ready to create unique bundles for you to amaze your customers with. Also Engineering, working on improving and developing our systems to ensure constant smooth running for our customers.

What’s your role in your Sendoso and what do you like best about it?

My role is the Customer Support Manager here in Dublin, although I am biased I like to think the Support team is the heart of a company. The reason I say that is because we touch every aspect of the company from direct customer interactions to technical workings in the background. The best thing about my role really is the challenges that I face each day, they are always new and exciting.

Tell us something about Sendoso we may not know.

The beauty about Sendoso is the team have worked really hard on producing a product that is easy to navigate and quick to send to your customers. Sendoso has seen a large amount of customer join our sending family, and while we have been going through a pandemic, sending was busy during that period because employers and companies wanted to continue to show continuous commitment and connections with their colleagues and customers. It is hugely important that we played a part during such a difficult time and continue to encourage meaningful connections.

What do you think is the future of work?

The future of work has changed a lot over the years, in the past I would have said for Support in particular, it couldn’t be from home. The last two years have opened my eyes and it is important for the employee and employer to have a balance between home and office. I encourage our team to work a hybrid model with 2 days from the office a week and three days at home. This both encourages team collaboration and also personal time, removing part of the commute and the planning around coming to the office.

What do you like about being a Glandore Member?

I absolutely seen the benefit personally of being a Glandore member as recent as a couple weeks ago, we had a gathering in our office, and Glandore promote collaboration with other companies both professionally and socially. During the gathering I was able to get to know other people who are part of other businesses within our building. I also got to know the Glandore team. It’s great to walk into an office space and meet people from Glandore and Sendoso but we look at everyone as colleagues.

What do you like about living and working in Dublin?

I love having such a short commute to Dublin for work, what I enjoy the most is honestly getting to spend time with colleagues and being in the heart of the technology hub within the city.

Saturday night in or Saturday night out?

Saturday nights for me is a pretty quiet night after a very busy week. I like to spend time with my two puggle dogs Mike and Molly and go for walks on the Hill of Tara.
